June TOPIC: You’re not “bad” at Play Therapy… You’re just working with a 3-year old!
Even for the most seasoned play therapists working with 3-6 year olds can still feel challenging…or impossible. Because knowing the clinical theory and sitting in a room with a preschooler who is throwing toys, controlling every interaction, refusing your ideas or communicating entirely through chaos are two very different things. This Play Cafe is for the moments that make even experienced clinicians quietly wonder: “Why does this feel so much harder than I expected?”
This play cafe will be honest, practical, and developmentally grounded. We will unpack what actually changes in early childhood, why even strong therapeutic instincts can feel ineffective with young children and their parents, and what to do instead.
