Meghan Burns

LPC, ADHD-CCSP

Meghan Burns is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), working towards her Registered Play Therapist (RPT) credential. Since 2016, she’s worked with children and teens across academic (K-12, college) and pediatric health settings.

Meghan specializes in neurodivergent children, adolescents, and pre-teens, with particular expertise in OCD and ADHD. For OCD and anxiety, she provides Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), a gold-standard treatment for facing feared situations while resisting compulsions, and completed intensive ERP training through the Center for Anxiety & Behavior Therapy. For ADHD and co-occurring conditions, she is a certified clinical services provider (ADHD-CCSP), supporting kids both academically and at home.

Meghan uses a neuroaffirming, trauma-informed approach, blending Child-Centered Play Therapy (CCPT), sandtray therapy, and ERP to fit each client’s needs. This fosters creative and therapeutic expression while building tools to face symptoms directly. She’s committed to a nurturing, safe environment that empowers families with strategies beyond the therapy room.

Meghan is licensed in Virginia and New York, and serves as a Va. Board Approved LPC Supervisor for therapists pursuing licensure.
