The playroom is gone, the toys aren’t there, and what worked in person doesn’t always translate through a screen. BUT…meaningful, child-centered play therapy can still happen online. In this Play Cafe, we’ll explore 10 practical, accessible, and FREE strategies for keeping play at the center of telehealth sessions with young children. We’ll talk about adapting familiar interventions, use the child’s home environment therapeutically, and ways to maintain engagement even when attention spans are short and the technology isn’t perfect (and sometimes not even average!) Because when the setting changes, the therapeutic powers of play don’t disappear, they just need a new doorway.
