Juliet Onufrak, MSW, LCSW, LICSW is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who works with children, teens and young adults experiencing anxiety, emotional regulation challenges, perfectionism, burnout, and performance-related stress, particularly those in competitive academic or athletic environments. Juliet specializes in helping athletes and high-achieving individuals manage pressure while maintaining confidence and balance.
Before becoming a therapist, Juliet spent five years coaching youth soccer in Northern Virginia and holds a Level E coaching license. As a former collegiate soccer player and current endurance athlete, she brings a deep understanding of performance pressure, identity development, and the mental demands of competitive sport—making her especially effective in supporting children, adolescents, and young adults in high-performance settings.
Juliet has extensive experience supporting children, adolescents, and families within school and educational settings. She helps families navigate academic stress, school collaboration, and major transitions, including the transition to college. Drawing on prior experience in college admissions counseling, she also supports students and families with college-related stress and coordination with coaches when appropriate.
Juliet holds her clinical license in the Commonwealth of Virginia and the District of Columbia. Her approach is trauma-informed, strengths-based, and developmentally focused. Juliet is trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Coping–CBT (CC-CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, and play-based interventions. She has completed Phase 1 of Play Therapy training and is working toward becoming a Registered Play Therapist.
