As children continue to struggle with peer interactions due to the Pandemic, opportunities for children to develop social and emotional skills are critical. These groups is for children who struggle with skills such as making friends, listening, understanding others’ feelings, appropriately expressing their own feelings, sharing, and resolving conflict. Crossroads Family Counseling Center will use techniques in play therapy, art therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy to provide time-limited virtual group therapy services (6 weekly video chat sessions). The goals of this group are for participants to develop a positive self-image, express their feelings appropriately, and make meaningful connections with others. This group will emphasize learning and practicing social skills, while also fostering a sense of community
