Olivia Dyke is a Resident in Counseling who earned her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from George Washington University. She has experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families across a variety of settings, including Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), residential treatment centers (RTCs), and youth advocacy. These experiences have given her a deep appreciation for the unique strengths and challenges each client brings to therapy.
Olivia takes an integrative, individualized approach to counseling, tailoring treatment to each client’s needs and goals. She is trained in Child-Centered Play Therapy and enjoys helping children express themselves, process emotions, and build confidence through play. She also incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients recognize unhelpful thought patterns, strengthen coping skills, and create lasting, meaningful change.
Olivia believes that the foundation of effective therapy is a genuine, trusting relationship. She strives to create a warm, compassionate, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel safe to be themselves, explore difficult experiences, and work toward the life they want. Whether clients are navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship challenges, behavioral concerns, or emotional stress, Olivia collaborates with them to build resilience, increase self-understanding, and foster growth.
Olivia enjoys working with individuals, couples, families, and children, and values meeting clients exactly where they are in their journey.
Outside of the therapy room, Olivia enjoys spending time outdoors, reading, and caring for her three cats.
A message from Olivia: “Congratulations on taking the first step in your mental health journey, it can sometimes be the toughest one! Come as you are. We’ll figure out the rest together.”
