Jessica Comfort is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the Commonwealth of VA who has worked in a variety of settings including home-based, hospital, hospice and the school system. Besides working at Crossroads Family Counseling Center, she is employed as a high school social worker with Prince William County Schools.
Jessica specializes in working with children and adolescents struggling with anxiety, depression, grief and loss, and ADHD.
Jessica is also a Child Life Specialist having worked with children and their families in the hospital setting where she provided developmentally appropriate interventions including therapeutic play, preparation for procedures, and education to reduce fear, anxiety, and pain.
Jessica incorporates play and expressive therapies into her therapeutic interventions and uses cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and family systems perspective.
Jessica completed her Bachelors degree in Child Life Psychology from Syracuse University in 2008 and graduated with her Master in Social Work (MSW) from George Mason University in 2015.
