Grae Worthington, is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a National Certified Counselor who specializes in working with middle school, adolescent, and young adult, and adult clients. Grae began her career working in-home with children and adolescents on the autism spectrum. She has experience working with adolescents in crisis in a group home setting, and supported individuals across the lifespan through individual therapy and group counseling in a private practice setting.
Grae specializes in issues of grief and loss, depression, anxiety, emotional regulation, social skills, mindfulness/meditation, building coping skills, and expressive art techniques. She takes a person-centered, neurodivergent-affirming, integrative approach, building on each client’s unique strengths, abilities, and communication style. She seeks to help clients and their families navigate their way through life’s challenges and cultivate meaning from difficult experiences.
Grae received her Bachelor of Art in History from the University of Virginia in 2009, and earned a Master of Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Marymount University in 2017. She is working toward her credential as a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP).
