Phoebe Missios M.A., Resident in Counseling. She has experience working with culturally diverse clientele from across the lifespan in both clinical and school-based environments. She aims to make all environments feel safe, supportive, and person-centered to facilitate a space for growth and healing.
She enjoys working with young children and uses play-based therapies such as child-centered play therapy and cognitive behavioral play therapy. Phoebe believes play is an effective language through which children can express and process through big feelings and big experiences. With this, she highly values involvement and collaboration with the family to best support attachment and the entire family system.
Phoebe additionally works with adolescents and adults through an eclectic approach that’s centered around Narrative therapy, Adlerian Therapy, and CBT. She specifically works with depression, anxiety, identity exploration, and interpersonal problems. Phoebe hopes to be a supportive presence to her clients and to give them a space that feels comfortable to explore and share their stories. She facilitates a collaborative process toward building insight and working toward solutions together.
Phoebe earned her M.A. in counseling psychology from Bastyr University San Diego. She is currently working on becoming a Registered Play Therapist.
